Im Griggs has been involved in photography at the professional level since 1974, including work on commercial and industrial photography assignments, weddings, portraits and editorial photography. His photography has been published by National Geographic, Africa Geographic, The Sierra Club, The Nature Conservancy, Shutterbug, Wyoming Wildlife, Kiplinger’s Retirement Magazine, and many others including books, calendars, newspapers and brochures as well as several museum displays around the country. For eleven years he was an instructor at Wilderness Photography Workshops in Wyoming and Colorado. Jim is President of the Great Plains Nature Photographers. He is especially proud of his images, which have been published by the Sierra Club and the Nature Conservancy showcasing the great plains of the US and his work as assistant to Jim Richardson of National Geographic as an assistant during his Flint Hills of Kansas assignment.
