Italy’s Via Francigena / Pilgrimage Walk

One of the pluses about my first ever “Mario” trip, a pilgrimage along the Via Francigena, was the fact that if I yearned for a briefer walk one day, Mario and Peter and of course the drivers, Georgio and Paolo, made it so easy to deviate from the main itinerary.
