There is surely no better way to truly see and fully experience a place than to walk. My journey with Mondo Verde Expeditions along a portion of the Via Francigena proved this in every way. On a trip that was beautifully organized down to the smallest detail, we experienced the best of Italy: superbly scenic countryside, charming towns large and small along the way, incomparable cuisine, unique and special lodgings. And all in the company of friends old and new, walking a portion of an historic pilgrimage route together.
