Birding
BIRDS AND MAMMALS OF TANZANIA & EUROPEAN BIRD MIGRATION
On our way to Ngorongoro National Park we visit Lake Manyara where we look for a variety of waterfowl. At Ngorongoro National Park we will have double permits to allow you to stay on the Crater floor as long as you would like. The Crater is famous not only for birds, but also for black rhino, the very large bull elephants and the densest population of hyena in the world.
Our final destination is the Serengeti where there are over 600 recorded species of birds. We will look for kestrels, falcons, bee-eaters, owls, swallows, chats, cuckoos in addition to all of the raptors and other birds in this vast park. Accommodations include deluxe lodges constructed of local materials and in harmony with their environment and luxury tented camps where you will be immersed in the sights and sounds of Africa. Food at all locations is well prepared and delicious.
