In March of 2024, I joined Mario’s Botswana trip, which took us to camps in the Okavango Delta and the Kalahari Desert. In thinking of how to describe the experience, discussion of the gorgeous lodging and gracious staff seems so inadequate. The phrase that comes first to my mind is “life-changing”. From the old school elegance of the tents, the sincere warmth and hugs of the staff, the amazing knowledge and wisdom of the guides, the indulgence and laughter of the sundowners, the pulse-stopping animals an arm’s reach away…I could gush forever. But it seriously must be experienced to be comprehended. I truly left a large piece of my heart in Botswana. Donna
