Our return visit to Refugio Amazonas Lodge and the Tambopata Research Center was highly rewarding and reminded us of how much we love spending time birding, practicing photography, exploring the private trails in search of wildlife and simply relaxing at the lodges listening to the sound of the rain forest. The region harbors some of the most bio-diverse rainforest in all of Peru (and possibly the entire Amazon basin). Remote, wild, but still easily accessible, we have already planned our return in 2024 to this global hotspot for ecotourism.
